Assalamualaikum:

First of all just to inform that my mom is not feeling well, need your support to pray for her good health.

Thanks a lot to everyone who keeps coming to this blog even though the owner is currently quite occupied with looking after a sick mother. My dear mom was hospitalised last February 2013 and last month (March 2013) warded again. My mom had lower back surgery to relieve her of back pain - slipped disc L4/L5.

Thank you to all friends who have send their du'as and well wishes. InshaAllah my mom shall be okay soon.

Homesick

Being away from home at boarding school can be very tough. When I said goodbye to my mum in the school car park last two weeks, I was too anxious to get back inside to join the games that was going on to think about what was happening. But that night, when I got into bed, homesickness hit me. There is only one word to describe how you feel when you are truly homesick: lost. I missed everything; my family, my MUM, even my own bed. For the first time in my life I was out of my comfort zone.

I do apologize for not writing here at all during the week - but it has been one of the most intense weeks I've experienced in a VERY long time! It's been quite hard to get through everything, also because during the fall I wasn't feeling great and I wasn't very "active" at all. Now it seems it's all caught up with me and it tends to get a bit too much at times.
