Restrict yourself to getting the job done, so that your parents don't have to restrict you from activities you enjoy. It's a win-win situation. You show maturity by doing what you know needs to be done. Then, your parents are happy to see your responsible actions when you finish homework without a fuss. Everyone in the family feels less stress.
